How to get to block island
There are several ways to get to the Island. Traveling to Block Island is easiest by ferry (They do have car ferries too). Ferries depart from Point Judith in RI and from Montauk, New York. There are also seasonal ferries from New London, Connecticut, and from Newport, Rhode Island. It is also possible to fly to Block Island from Westerly Airport. If you would like to get there quicker and you are taking a ferry from Point Judith, you can take the fast-speed ferry! During rough weather, they do not use the speed jet ferry. Call before you head out to ensure it is running, if it isn’t you most likely will be on the slow boat or not going at all due to the rough sea conditions.
